Grey’s Anatomy in 2018: Our hopes for Ellen Pompeo and the rest of the cast!
Without further ado, we present you with five different things we’re hoping to check out at some point in the next 52 weeks — don’t worry, as there are no spoilers ahead.
1. A great launch to the firefighter spin-off – We know that Grey’s Anatomy will be launching the new show a little bit later in the year, and when it happens we hope that the two shows marry together well. It’s a dangerous move for Grey’s Anatomy to make at this point in its run, given that viewers are so used to having an established hit that they know and love so much already. Hopefully, bringing Ben Warren over to the spin-off will help in the way of offering up come continuity between the two.
2. More storylines from the past – The key art (see above) for this season features many of the show’s original characters who are still around. Are there some more ways to flash back to season 1, whether it be recurring characters or references to former regulars? We certainly hope so.
3. More of Meredith as a mentor – There’s something fun about watching her with some of the residents as opposed to watching everyone else with the residents — there’s a difference in energy and attitude since she’s already established and doesn’t need to worry about hand-holding any of them. With that said, we do hope that there are opportunities to see her bond with someone.
4. A Jo – Alex engagement – It’s time, especially with Matthew Morrison entering the picture. We’re hoping that at some point soon Jo is finally able to move forward and put that monster otherwise known as Paul in the past. She deserves it, largely because she deserves an opportunity to move forward and face a happier future.
5. A season 15 – It has to happen, right? This is still one of ABC’s most-popular shows and more people are discovering it on Netflix every year.
