The Voice season 13 finale: Bastille, Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato to perform

Voice season 13 finale

The Voice season 13 will air its two-hour finale on Tuesday night, and it shouldn’t come as much of a shock to anyone that there will be some big performances. You’ve got the likes of Demi Lovato, Kelly Clarkson, reigning champion Chris Blue, and more stopping by before a winner is eventually crowned. Even with the ratings down for this season it still seems as though NBC and the show’s producers were able to court some great talent.

It’s also worth noting that in the case of Clarkson, she is coming on right before she is set to make her debut on The Voice as a coach starting in season 14. Who doesn’t want to celebrate that? This performance also represents her ushering in a new era of the show … not to make an usher pun. Remember when Usher was a coach on the show? That seems almost like it’s forever ago at this point.

Duets – There are also plenty of those coming up! The NBC synopsis below makes it clear what some of them are going to be:

This season’s Top 8 artists will perform with musicians across all genres. Noah Mac will accompany Bastille and perform “World Gone Mad,” a topical new single from “Bright: The Album.” Additionally, Vince Gill will perform “When I Call Your Name” with Red Marlow; Billy Idol will perform “White Wedding” with Chloe Kohanski; Jessie J will perform “Not My Ex” from her upcoming album “R.O.S.E.” with Davon Fleming; Norah Jones will perform “Don’t Know Why” with Addison Agen; and Bebe Rexha will perform “Meant to Be” with Adam Cunningham and Keisha Renee; and Sia will perform “Titanium” with Brooke Simpson.

Fun fact — this is not the first time that Jessie J has performed on The Voice during its season finale with an artist from the season. She previously performed “Masterpiece” with Chris Jamison and we’ll still contend that it was one of the best random celebrity duets in the history of the show. Beyond this, it’s nice to see Norah Jones getting a chance to perform on primetime network TV and the Billy Idol – Chloe Kohanski combine is probably going to be both weird and somewhat cool. (Kohanski remains the clear favorte to win the show entering The Voice season 13 finale — unless something super-strange happens it’s likely going to stay that way.)
