The Voice results: Did Red Marlow, Noah Mac make season 13 finale?
Let’s start by getting some of the most predictable of reveals out of the way — Addison Agen advanced to the final round of the competition, and the same went for Chloe Kohanski. Given that these two have been the favorites to win this season for a little while (we’d put Chloe in the lead at the moment), nothing about this altogether surprises us.
The drama started to come in a little bit after this, when we learned that Brooke Simpson was also going to be advancing without a whole lot of drama. Given that she performed last on the night, we shouldn’t consider this to be an altogether huge surprise — however, at the same time this wasn’t a lock going into this week. We’re happy for her just as we’re happy for her mentor in Miley Cyrus — this is an opportunity for her to work with someone until the very end of the season and that probably forges some sort of tight personal connection.
Now, the final result: Red Marlow is moving forward! We cannot say that we’re completely shocked about that if for no other reason than that he fits right within the country-voter wheelhouse. He’s the sort of guy who has done really well on the show in the past. While we don’t feel altogether confident that he is going to end this season as the winner, he’s still had a rather great run for himself. The finale for The Voice next week will likely have all sorts of surprises, and we’re excited to dive in and discuss some of those more. That also includes original songs! We’ve gotten to know the contestants at this point and it’s one of the reasons why we wish the show had more live rounds — they’re so much more informative than the ones beforehand.
