Blindspot season 3: The Patterson – Rich Dotcom connection revealed
So … was was it? As it turns out, these two characters may not hate each other anywhere near as much as they tried to let on. They actually spent some time together in the past working for a hacker group called the Three Blind Mice, and because of the actions of the third member of the group she can’t pretend to hide that anymore. Her pals at the FBI have figured out the truth, and with that things are going to be interesting from here on out. Maybe the team treats the two of them a little bit differently, but beyond that you’re going to see a really entertaining bond between the two characters given that they can let their guard down more and stop having to pretend that they are aligned on different sides.
Also, this means that there’s a chance to get more Rich on the show. It’s hard to figure that anyone is going to be upset about that.
Want a little more news on this relationship? Then just take a look at what executive producer Martin Gero had to say about the subject tonight to Entertainment Weekly:
“The team now knows Patterson and Rich were part of the Three Blind Mice — not that they can prove it … But Rich and Patterson can stop pretending they’re not a great team. Their friendship is one of my favorite parts of the show this year. [There’s a] lot more to come.”
If you’re a viewer of Blindspot and love these characters, there is obviously a lot that you are going to love about this story. There’ll probably be some good cases, but more than that there will probably be a lot of comedy. This is needed given that elsewhere, this is a show that is very serious, violent, and chaotic. That is what happens when there is murder and trying to stop international crises at the heart of almost every episode. For the action (and the romance), you’ve got Jane and Weller. For everything else, maybe you have these two.
