Criminal Minds season 13 not airing against the World Series
So what changed in between then and now? It’s all about the World Series. The broadcast of the series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros has gone all the way to Game 7. That’s a big deal in baseball, but it’s not so great for Criminal Minds and many other prime-time shows as we’ve seen time and time again (you can check out how rough a night it was for everyone yesterday when it comes to the ratings at the link here). Given that this is game 7, you better be prepared for the ratings to be bigger than ever. In turn, this would have really hurt Criminal Minds to air against that.
While it may be sad to not get a new Criminal Minds episode on Wednesday night, think of it in terms of the best possible decision that could be made for CBS. They want the show to do well and they want there to be some great ratings. The best thing that they can do is hold off on this episode for one more week, and put it on the air then. Criminal Minds won’t be losing an episode from its order, so don’t worry about having to lose anything there — Things are just going to be shuffled around.
Also, be sure to remember that Criminal Minds is a series that is somewhat on the bubble. We don’t think it’s in huge danger right now of being canceled, but why risk it?
When Criminal Minds returns…
You better be prepared for an episode that feels quite a bit like Halloween, even if it’s now airing on November 8th. The name of this episode is “The Bunker,” and we are going to see many of your favorite BAU agents transported to a rather unfortunate place. They are going to feel trapped, and they’re going to be questions as to whether or not they can get out of this situation alive. You can see it promoted in the super spooky promo below.
There are many different great Criminal Minds stories coming up this season, and if next week’s episode is anything like the one we just got with the return of Jamie Kennedy then we are going to be happy campers.. Either way, any episode of Criminal Minds is one to be excited about.

Great news. I don’t watch baseball ever, but I would sit down for hours and watch it if I had to watch Prentiss continue lead this show/team to its final season. Penelope, in her lair of all things knowledgeable, would make a better Unit Chief. No offense to Paget offscreen. I don’t know you. ?
