Hawaii Five-0 season 8: CBS makes McDanno’s Bar & Grill t-shirts
In a post on Twitter, showrunner Peter Lenkov made it clear that there are now McDanno’s Bar & Grill shirts online via the CBS Store, just in case you want to show your love for fictional restaurant or the fun, Lady & the Tramp inspired image at the center of it. The shirt runs about $25; you can follow the link in Lenkov’s tweet if you’re interested in picking one up.
The real irony about all of the love for this shirt is that there’s no guarantee that the restaurant will even be called this in the event it does get off the ground. Steve didn’t seem all that sold on the name, which was originally pushed to him by Kamekona, who had already made around 400 shirts in celebration of the idea. (Within the fictional world of the show we wonder if many of these shirts will end up going to the same place where all the Atlanta Falcons – Super Bowl jerseys go after the big game.)
New episodes of Hawaii Five-0 continue in the meantime Friday nights on CBS and we’re hoping that we will get some more updates on the restaurant here and there along the way. We recently wrote a full post regarding whether or not this storyline should be resolved this season. We do think that there are some merits to doing it, but we also don’t want to see Steve and Danny transition over fully to restaurant mode. If they do that, it leaves their future with the Five-0 in a little bit of doubt. In the end the ideal here is if you find a way for them to do the best of both worlds — still solving crimes and maybe working at the restaurant part time. Maybe they form a team of restaurant owners doubling as private eyes who investigate things out of their kitchen. (We’re kidding about this — maybe.)
Would you want a McDanno’s Bar & Grill t-shirt after the reveal in the episode?
