Once Upon a Time season 7 episode 3 spoilers: Victoria Belfrey’s discovery

When Once Upon a Time season 7 episode 3 airs on ABC, are we going to get a chance to really learn what Victoria Belfrey is really up to? This is that top of many a wishlist and for good reason. She is at the moment the Big Bad of the season and the main suspect for unlocking the curse on Hyperion Heights. She has the biggest motive to cause chaos and given her amount of power, probably has more of the means to do so than anyone. Is there a redeemable side of Lady Tremaine? Given this show’s penchant for unpredictability we’re not ruling it out, but at the same time we’re not exactly at the point in the story where this is coming to light just yet.

For a little more news now about episode 3, which is entitled “The Garden of Forking Paths,” take a look at the newly-released ABC synopsis below:

“When Cinderella finds herself staring danger in the eye, she receives help from an unlikely source. Her rescue leads to an alliance that could aid in the defeat of Lady Tremaine’s rule and reveals a dark secret from Cinderella’s past. In Hyperion Heights, Jacinda goes to extreme measures to stop Victoria Belfrey from destroying Lucy’s beloved community garden, while Lucy tries to convince Henry that Victoria is after more than just a plot of land. Meanwhile, Victoria makes a discovery that could alter everyone’s fate.”

The person who Cinderella likely meets over the course of her journey at the moment is likely Tiana of The Princess and the Frog fame. This character, played by Mekia Cox of Chicago Med fame, is going to be a new series regular. It’s good for Cinderella to have friends just as much as it could be that her alter ego Jacinda find the same thing in Hyperion Heights. The odds are stacked against her as Lucy still does everything that she can to reinforce that Victoria has some dark motive that her parents just aren’t seeing just yet.

Knowing this show there will be some more information that comes our way in due time — we may not learn everything that the end of Once Upon a Time season 7 episode 3 but it feels safe to say that we will learn more someday regarding what is actually going on. So long as this season unfolds in a somewhat-different way than season 1 — there are already enough common threads between the show past and present that we don’t really need any more — we are going to be quite pleased in the end.
