NCIS: New Orleans season 4 episode 3 spoilers: Back to ‘The Asset’

The Asset

The path to NCIS: New Orleans season 4 episode 3, entitled “The Asset,” has been different than most. After all, think for a moment that this episode was originally supposed to air tonight. For whatever reason that’s not happening, and we’re getting it next week instead.

The good news here is that with this show being a procedural, there’s not going to be all that much that will end up feeling weird as a result of this. The biggest difference probably just comes now in the way of context. You understand a little more now that Pride went through quite an unusual situation with Martha Roberts, and following that took an opportunity to go on a fishing trip with his daughter Laurel. He is taking stock in everything that matters in his life, and while that’s great the reality here still is that there are going to be some other cases that the team has to take on. This includes one that will feature some familiar faces.

If you haven’t had a chance to see some of the first official details on this episode just yet, take a look below (if you haven’t seen them already).

NCIS: New Orleans season 4 episode 3 synopsis – “Pride and his team join forces with FBI Director Isler (Derek Webster) after a Russian operative, who’s in the states to provide intelligence on sleeper agents, disappears after his Navy escort is murdered. Also, Tammy partners with former sleeper agent Eva Azarova (Cassidy Freeman) to locate the missing operative who Eva has known since childhood, on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, Tuesday, Oct. 10 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.”

Hopefully, the episodes are going to air in planned order the rest of the way — plus, we don’t like having to wait for things featuring Cassidy Freeman all that long. After all, we’re already doing that with the sixth and final season of Longmire. It’s also going to be nice to see Tammy get a bigger storyline coming up given that as great as 4×02 was for the most part, almost all of it was geared more around Pride than any other member of the team. Most of them just had little moments mixed in here and there. (You can actually see more about this episode over here, since we originally previewed it back when it was supposed to air tonight.)
