Big Brother 19 live feed spoilers: The new HoH and the plan (day 72)
This all was super-weird given that about fifteen minutes after the show was over, the weather suddenly appeared to be fine outside. Rain in Southern California during the summer is almost like a unicorn — you rarely ever see it.
Ultimately, it still didn’t take too long even with the weather after the fact to learn that Christmas is the new Head of Household, and this is (shocker) exactly what Paul wanted. He and Josh both wanted her to win this one and then allow Raven to have it the following week. Their goal seems to be eradicating both Alex and Jason coming up soon; this time around, Christmas wants to put both Alex and Jason on the block and be rather blunt when it comes to the reasoning why. They are both huge targets, and they’re capable of winning competitions.
As for how Raven is doing following Matt departing the house, we’d say that by and large she kept her spirits high and didn’t seem to be altogether upset about anything. Kevin was feeling a little bit insecure and paranoid, but Paul did his best to reassure him by saying that he trusted him and there was no real reason to be concerned for his future for the time being. Kevin’s smart enough to know that he’s on the outs with some people, but he should be safe this week.
Could the Tree of Temptation shake things up?
In theory yes, but as for whether or not we see it happening … probably not. That depends a little bit heavily on whether or not someone feels in danger at the time of it entering the game tomorrow. It’s possible that Kevin is tempted, but the biggest issue with this tree as a twist is that with one of the good options (Save a Friend) already gone, there’s not that big of an incentive to go for it unless you feel like you are in mortal danger.
Here is the one good thing that is coming from the tree being in the game: It probably encourages more blindsides since you have to keep intentions a secret to ensure that no one goes for it. After all, if Alex and Jason know they are in trouble and they end up both getting a chance to win the Veto, that means that they can both be safe for the week and the entire game shifts.
