Outlander season 3: See end result of ‘love lost’ campaign; Cesar Domboy video
As per usual, we’d like to be your tour guide through much of what is happening in the news cycle — and hopefully point out some cool stuff along the way.
The “love lost” campaign is online – If you recall, earlier this summer Starz put out a request asking for fans of the show to submit some of their most touching stories of love, sorrow, and any other emotions that tie back into the general themes of the show. Our feeling was that so long as the network put together a lovely tribute to these stories, this could be a really effective promotional tool for the new season.
Now, we are pleased to report that this is very much the case. If you head over to the link here, you can see many of these stories now over on the show’s community. We think the way that they’ve been put together is sweet and touching. You can see through the words of the fans why loving this show is so important to them; they see themselves in Jamie and Claire, or relate to some of their journey in some way. This sort of thing almost unites the community even more, given that it reminds you of the shared experiences that so many go through.
Maybe not everyone out there is sentimental, but we do think that this is a nice way for people, if nothing else, to share a part of their story and have it out there for others to see. The fact that it helps to promote Outlander is only icing on the cake. It’s something that does help the show stand out more from the bulk of the other series that are out there.
Another new Cesar Domboy interview
In case you did miss this one earlier, there is a new video interview on the show’s Twitter featuring the actor and Entertainment Tonight’s Leanne Aguilera, this time discussing him stepping into the role of older Fergus. If you recall, Domboy recently did a more personal interview talking more about himself, and this one is told more through the lens of the show.
You’ll be seeing a great deal of Domboy’s character throughout the season, and we don’t want to spend too much time on the introduction here. Just watch the video and enjoy! He seems grateful to be a part of the show’s family, and should prove to be a wonderful ambassador for this role. (We personally like hearing about him studying the mannerisms of younger Fergus to make sure that the two parts are very much in line.)
