Blue Bloods season 8: Some assorted Donnie Wahlberg filming fun

Blue Bloods season 8

Even though Blue Bloods season 8 won’t be premiering for another two months, don’t you want to check out some more Donnie Wahlberg fun?

In some of the photos HERE via Twitter, you can get a sense as to what work is like for the actor/singer on the CBS show — including some odd hours on the set! One of the images that you can see below of Donnie is with some of the various cast and crew members working on a Sunday — it may be unusual, but it’s not that far out of the realm of possibility for TV. You get a pretty nice break in the spring/summer, but when you are working, you’re working some serious hours … but it’s worth it in the end, given that you’re getting an opportunity to deliver a beloved show that so many people out there love to watch.

As for the other photos below, they show an array of different guests around production. First, you’ve got the real-life NYPD, who are probably never that far away from Blue Bloods given that the police are everywhere in New York City trying to stop crimes pretty much at all times. Of course, there are also many officers past and present who help to ensure that the show is as real and authentic as possible. The goal of the series is to present an accurate portrait of life at the department, while being entertaining and tackling delicate issues at the same time. It’s not always easy, but the stories are effective in accomplishing the goal.

Finally, we’ve got … Chris Stapleton? Having the country-rock singer even around the set is a cause of celebration, even though it is certainly random. (We want to now picture what a Wahlberg – Stapleton duet could look like.)

What could be coming on Blue Bloods season 8?

Well, Danny Reagan is not going to be in the best position when new episodes start up, given that his home burned down in the finale. He’ll be leaning on his family more than ever, but also working to get his life back on track. We imagine that his work life won’t be slowing down much — unfortunately, there are always bad guys out there, and that’s going to mean that Danny and Baez have their hands full in ensuring that the streets stay safe.

As for elsewhere on the show, get ready for a new rival for Frank in the form of a new Mayor, and Eddie Janko will be back after missing in action for some of the final episodes of season 7. If you love the CBS series, there is a lot worth looking forward to!
