Outlander season 3 and covering the Comic-Con storm
What we’re going to do with this article is rather simple: Compile some of the best video interviews, quotes, photos, and much more from the convention. We’ll do something separate for the panel itself (update: See our live panel updates here), but we know that things can get very overwhelming when you think for a moment about all of the various things that are going to be happening.
What we know is this: Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, and the rest of the cast are already at the San Diego Convention Center, and they’ll be taking part in all sorts of craziness. We’ve been there before doing press, and it is overwhelming to say the least. By the end of it, we have a feeling that the cast’s heads are all collectively spinning. It’s fun and very rewarding, but you may need a cooling-off period after this before getting back to the normalcy of life.

Richard Rankin and Sophie Skelton explain the plot – This is a very funny clip via IGN, who is conducting all sorts of interviews throughout the day.
The cast speaks to Entertainment Tonight – Leanne Aguilera sat down with many of the Comic-Con attendees (including Tobias Menzies, who we haven’t shouted out yet) for something that is very rare for the convention — a long-form interview! There really aren’t too many of these at the convention.
Brave New Warriors highlights – Rankin was a guest over on EW’s Brave New Warriors panel, which produced many a funny moment as he talked about everything from tattoos to how awesome his role as Roger Wakefield is. Take a look at a few assorted highlights from it below. (Starz was kind enough to live-tweet some portions of the panel.)
Caitriona Balfe’s Twitter tease – Technically, she said this on the social-media page before heading to the convention, but it’s a fun one! Also, she’s seen the first handful of episodes for the season already.

Finally, some new photos – While we know that the two new images below (including one of Jamie in the print shop!) are far from the end of everything Outlander that happened today, this seems to be a suitable spot to stop for now. We’ll have a little more analysis of some of these in the morning plus some other topics. For now, kudos to Starz for giving us all so many different venues to see the show shine.
