America’s Got Talent results: Did Just Jerk, Tom London make live shows?

Over the course of tonight’s America’s Got Talent episode, we had a chance to witness many great performances in the Judge Cuts. There were singers, dancers, magic acts, a dancing pumpkin, and someone who basically made us think that he allowed himself to be buried alive. By and large, this was one of the coolest sets of performances we’ve seen in a single two-hour episode.

Now comes the part where people probably get angry: The results. We’re not so much shading any one act here, either, given that everyone’s going to be angry about something no matter what happens here. That’s just a big part of what makes this show the show that it is. We just want to share with you our reactions quickly on the acts that are going to be moving forward to the next phase of the competition in the live shows. With some of these, you saw the results coming given that we didn’t see all of them get substantial air time.

Angelica Hale – You already knew that she had the Golden Buzzer, so she’s moving forward.

The Masqueraders – They made it through! We’re happy for the guys, but pretty shocked that they made it on to the next round over Darcy Callus and Carlos De Antonis.

Sara & Hero – She made it! So happy for this one, given that great dog acts like this don’t come along very often and she’s very unique.

The Singing Trump – Yes, Trump made the next round while Harrison Greenbaum didn’t. We don’t understand that one beyond just YouTube pandering.

Just Jerk – No problem here, given that they are sensational at what it is that they do. Best dance crew of the season.

Demian Aditya – Meanwhile, there is no other magic act on the show quite like him — probably because he’s super-terrifying at the same time with what he does.

Eric Jones – This was a tough choice, but we’re not surprised after tonight’s performance. (It is still a bummer to see the super-great Tom London go.)

Overall, this is a good crop in terms of variety — swap out the Singing Trump with either Harrison or Tom London, and we’re probably happy with the group as a whole.
