Big Brother 19 live feed spoilers: Nomination Ceremony results (day 24)

Nomination Ceremony

The Nomination Ceremony in the Big Brother 19 house on Friday promised a little bit of drama, mostly because of Alex’s secrecy. She was very coy to most people as to who she wanted to nominate — not on Cody levels, but still. We were able to make out that her targets were Jessica and Dominique. It didn’t really matter so much who she wanted out, given that if the team of Elena, Raven, Matt, Mark, Paul, and Christmas all vote together, they are in control of what happens this week. If they want to keep Dominique, they can.

Granted, we don’t exactly think that these six are really all on the same page at the moment — or that they have been for a little while now. There’s tension around Dominique, and Christmas did just vote to keep Cody in the house and most people have sussed that out.

Official nominations – After the feeds came back this evening, it was revealed that both Jessica and Dominique were on the block, which may make Dom’s talk show probably the least-effective Big Brother mock talk show of all time. She’s in some danger now, but the same goes for Jessica.

In the immediate aftermath of these nominations, Jessica immediately felt as though she was in a do-or-die position with the Veto; however, Kevin tried to assure her that this wasn’t the case and that Dominique is not all that liked in the house right now. Nothing that Jessica hears will probably make her feel that much better — but she has conceded already that she’s in a much-better place than last week, mostly because she’s not being as ostracized and not forced to wear a toad costume at the same time. (Oh, and don’t forget the slop factor — that was one of the worst weeks that any player within the Big Brother game can possibly have.)

Looking ahead

We will say this — Dom’s the much bigger threat, given that she’s smart and social and hasn’t been mean to anyone. Jessica’s perfect fodder to take far in the game, with the only negative being that she could be carried further than many other players — think in terms of someone who spends much of the game on the block as a super-pawn.

Because of the super-pawn factor, we would say that now is a fine time to cast Jessica out — also, you’re going to keep her from being in the house again with Cody. While the other players don’t know for sure that there is a Battle Back taking place, they should consider it a possibility given that Cameron left the very first night and then Megan quit the game. The producers have to find a way to bring some more people back into the game somehow.
