Game of Thrones season 7 episode titles, teasers released by HBO

Just in case you don’t want to wait any longer for more Game of Thrones season 7 episode titles, we come bearing good news! HBO confirmed some of these today, and with that, we’ve also got further details on the stories themselves. This should help to further set the stage for what will be the most epic season of the show to date, one where there are characters converging, intense battle scenes, and longer run times. There may only be seven episodes, but executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss seem intent on making the most of their time.

Take a look at some of these stories, complete with further details, below.

Episode #61: “Dragonstone” (July 16) – “Jon (Kit Harington) organizes the defense of the North. Cersei (Lena Headey) tries to even the odds. Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) comes home. Written for television by David Benioff & D. B. Weiss; directed by Jeremy Podeswa.”

“Dragonstone” is obviously a reference to the former home of Stannis Baratheon, and as the picture above shows, Daenerys will be finding her way back there. The Cersei portion of the synopsis is what’s most interesting here, given that “evening the odds” is a rather strange stand for her to take given that she just decimated much of King’s Landing in “The Winds of Winter.”

Episode #62: “Stormborn” (July 23) – “Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) receives an unexpected visitor. Jon (Kit Harington) faces a revolt. Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) plans the conquest of Westeros. Written for television by Bryan Cogman; directed by Mark Mylod.”

Clearly, Clarke’s character is going to be at the center of the early episodes this season, and the big question here is who this “unexpected visitor” is. Could it be someone from Dorne? That almost feels expected at this point. Hopefully, it’s not Euron Greyjoy just because that dude is awful and looks as though he’s going to be the Big Bad of the early going this season (otherwise known as a distraction from the Night King and the other truly-terrible stuff that is out there that these characters should be focusing on).

Episode #63: “The Queen’s Justice” (July 30) – “Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) holds court. Cersei (Lena Headey) returns a gift. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) learns from his mistakes. Written for television by David Benioff & D. B. Weiss; directed by Mark Mylod.”

Once again, this could be a reference to Daenerys and how she’s figuring out how to rule her new kingdom. As for Cersei returning a gift, that can’t be good … and we really hope that what Jaime realizes is that one of his biggest mistakes is remaining close to Cersei.

What about the rest of the episodes?

The way that HBO tends to release details is that they do so for an entire month at a time. Therefore, we anticipate information from the August episodes coming at the end of July or early next month.
