Bachelor in Paradise: What Corinne Olympios’ social media return really means
For some outlets out there, it’s enough to say that Corinne posted and then move on, but there is actually a good bit more significance to this beyond just a message.
What this return from Corinne means effectively is a signal that, following the investigation into what happened on Bachelor in Paradise season 4 with DeMario Jackson, she has no intention to leave social media or the spotlight altogether. Her only comments so far on what happened have been official statements; she’s yet to give an official interview telling her side, and it remains to be seen if that will happen.
What we do think is that this is probably not the last of Corinne you will see on reality television. We do think that she’s probably done with the Bachelor franchise after this, but whenever she is able to go on and do other shows, we wouldn’t be surprised if that happens.
For one, reality television is a tremendous source of income for some people, especially if you have the social media footprint to back it up. Corinne has as of this writing an audience of over 770,000 followers on Instagram, and that is hugely significant when it comes to networks wanting to promote future shows. Getting Corinne on board effectively means you have access to that audience. Meanwhile, brands may be interested in using that audience for advertisements, and it makes sense for her to want to continue to build that for even more money.
Down the road, there is always the old-school nightclub promotional appearance — a staple of reality stars for years. Corinne will probably get a pretty hefty payday for whatever she chooses to do next, but beyond that, much of her future in the spotlight will depend heavily on what she wants and when she wants to do it.
Meanwhile, in the Bachelor in Paradise world…
Season 4 of the ABC reality hit is still filming in Mexico, and other than Corinne and DeMario, the remainder of the original cast is back down there filming new episodes. (Technically, some of them may already been eliminated.) In the wake of the incident the network has imposed more limits on drinking and sexual activity, but the fundamental premise of the show is still the same, and it is still filming at the same resort in Mexico that has been used ever since the second season.
Do you think we will see Corinne in any other venues?
