America’s Got Talent: Carlos De Antonis closes with opera performance
Yet, it was also something that didn’t appear altogether likely when we were watching episode since we didn’t see it teased during the episode. There is another audition show coming, so this is probably something being held onto for that moment.
The final act that we did meet tonight on America’s Got Talent is still someone worth watching in Carlos De Antonis, a guy with a booming voice despite coming from humble beginnings as a driver. He didn’t look like an opera singer at first glance, and that made this so fun. He obviously has a great chance of making it all the way to the end of the show, but his big obstacle is that he’s going to need to figure out a way to continue to shake things up and get new viewers and fans on his side. That’s never easy!
So what’s next for Carlos? That’s really rather simple: He has to prepare for the Judge Cuts round of the competition, since he’ll need to win the judges over yet again to go along with a guest judge. Our advice for him would be to find some more ways to keep himself interesting and modern — find songs that could benefit from an operatic twist. Don’t go out of your way to turn something that’s not opera into one that is, since that is throwing yourself more unnecessary curveballs and there are other things that you could do instead.
Meanwhile, this all but confirms that Heidi will be using her Golden Buzzer soon; fingers crossed that it will be on someone who is completely different and has a chance to make it really far in the competition. Also, let’s hope that the show surprises us with when she decides to press it, rather than it being saved until the end of the show.
