The Absentia poster that will freak you out; more teaser analysis

Absentia poster

It’s now been two days since we got a chance to glimpse some of the first footage from Absentiabut clearly, there’s no time to wind down from that! We’ve got something else wonderful to share in the latest poster from the show, and this one could absolutely send a chill down your spine … provided that you are watching in the right lighting.

If you adjust the lighting on the “new” poster below, you’ll find that it’s not actually the same as the original one at all. Instead, there are scratch marks along the face of Emily Byrne, an ominous mask, and a few other little tweaks that make it a very clear that there is much more at play here than what appears on the surface.

Pretty tricky, right? Well, remember what we told you earlier this week — many of the teases that you’ve been given over time where done with purpose and deliberation. Maybe not all of them will be clear until you see them on the show, but they are absolutely worth paying attention to and discussing.

The big thing that we can say for now is that we’re all in for a wild, crazy, and dramatic ride that is so much more than it seems on the surface.

New teaser analysis!

What’s going on here? This image features another quote and seemingly the entire FBI division featured on the show together. Who are they searching for, what are they pooling their resources to do, and why is Patrick Heusinger’s character Nick Durand dressed so casually while everyone else is so dressed up? There are many questions worth pondering out of this one.

Fashion aside, the big thing to remember here is that the show’s not going to feature a manhunt of some variety unless it’s related to the main story somehow. What will be interesting is getting a chance to learn more about some of these people, and whether or not they could be more involved in what happened to Emily than at first glance.

A friendly reminder…

If you are interested in checking out our (spoiler-free) impressions of the Absentia trailer we saw during the Corus Upfronts earlier this week, you can do so over here. Obviously, we’d love to share more at some point; hopefully, everyone will get a chance to see some footage soon.
