Arrow season 6 premiere date hopes for Stephen Amell, cast
Unfortunately, trying to carve out a precise premiere date just yet is difficult; will a range of dates suffice? With The CW’s history of premiering their shows in October, it is easy to start to circle potential dates on the schedule.
There is one thing that you need to remember here first and foremost: Arrow season 6 is moving to Thursday nights at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. This is the first time in the history of the series that it will air at a different timeslot. This move seems to be in part due to the network’s desire to create a Wednesday night of drama with Riverdale and Dynasty back to back. In airing Arrow at 9:00, the show may have an opportunity to be darker than ever before, and also won’t have to worry nearly as much about airing against The Big Bang Theory or some other heavy competition at 8:00. It will follow up on the network Supernatural, which seems in theory to be as good of a lead-in as you’re going to find.
As of right now, the like Arrow season 6 premiere dates are Thursday, October 5 and then the following week on October 12. Maybe it’s possible in theory that the show starts on October 19, but that seems a little late for the show unless they just want to run the entire season without interruption. This is one of the reasons why The CW does tend to premiere a little bit later in the schedule — they want to be able to air their seasons with smaller hiatuses, and they also want to avoid some big premieres on other broadcast networks.
Could Arrow season 6 be the final season of the show? Given that many actors sign contracts for six or seven years at the start of a run, it’s fair to start pondering this question. For now, though, it seems unlikely — the ratings are still solid, and creatively it’s coming off of one of the best seasons of the entire run. It’s also popular all over the world and has a good streaming deal at Netflix.
