Supernatural season 12 finale spoilers: First look at two-hour event

Supernatural season 12 finale spoilers

Looking for some Supernatural season 12 finale spoilers? Then you’ve come to the right place, given that we’ve got some of the first details!

Earlier this week, The CW unveiled some of the earliest information for the two hours that are going to air back to back on May 18, which should create a rather great night worth of programming for viewers in need of answers. What seems to also be rather interesting based on the synopses for the hours that we’ve got below is that it feels almost like each one is themed in some way around one of the longtime stories of the season. For example, the first episode revolves a little bit more around the story of the British Men of Letters, while the second is about Lucifer’s baby.

12×22, “Who We Are” – “Caught in a dangerous situation, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) only have each other to rely on. Meanwhile, the fight between the American Hunters and the British Hunters comes to a head.”

12×23, “All Along the Watchtower” – “Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) battles Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) for control of his unborn child.”

The first thing to be thrilled about here is simply the sight of Mark Pellegrino, given that much of the time that we’ve seen Lucifer this season and part of last, he was in the body of other people. As much as we found some of that fun, the original Lucifer via Mark is still the best.

It’s also probably pretty fair to assume here that no matter what happens in the finale, it will in some way set up the thirteenth season. This show is always rather good at giving you a good cliffhanger — it never really takes too much away from the story you’re already getting, but it does serve as a good reminder that for hunters like Sam and Dean Winchester, the work is never really over. That’s something to remember, and to start speculating about now since we’ve still got a while for these episodes to air.

What do you think is going to happen over the course of the Supernatural season 12 finale? Now is the time to share in the comments!
