Home Fires season 2 episode 3 sneak peek (PBS): The Battle of Britain
One of the things that you do really need to remember here is that this is not necessarily a war show — you do see the aftermath of it, but this is more about the people behind the scenes, trying to make the community strong in the midst of war-torn chaos. It’s about finding a different way to survive. In the end, many of the women within the town will, but in different ways than what you would expect. Pat will go to great lengths in order to preserve her new secret, while we’re going to see an unlikely pairing be teased around at a party.
The synopsis below, in the event that you haven’t seen it yet, offers up a few more bits about what is going to be coming up:
“The Battle of Britain intensifies, the women must do all they can to keep spirits high. Pat’s secret is discovered, Stan’s behavior worries Steph, and Frances learns a devastating truth.”
This episode is clearly going to be eventful, just as you would ultimately expect for it to be given that there is a lot that is going to be going on over the course of a short period of time. Think of the two videos below as visual aids, whether it be a panoramic look at the story or specifically Sarah offering up an unexpected invitation to the Wing Commander.
All the while, this episode will also feature Frances trying to cope with a shocking financial discovery from this past episode; while there will be hope for some characters, there will be tears for others. One of the things that we have uncovered about Home Fires over time is that it is a series that offers up a wide range of different characters and emotions.
