MacGyver episode 19 sneak peek: Matty gives Bozer romantic advice
Yep, apparently Matty Webber is a love guru! Not only that, but she’s also more familiar with Tinder than you would probably realize. In the video below, you can see the character try to give Bozer a little bit of help after she realizes that he’s still hurting. Remember the Hawaii Five-0 crossover? Riley seemed to pick up a new interest out on the islands, and she’s enjoying her time texting him. Bozer, in the process, seems to be doing whatever he can in order to just spend time with her.
What’s Matty’s advice after seeing him struggle with his feelings? It’s pretty simple — move on. She doesn’t want to see him hurt. Matty may be a little brusque sometimes, but we do think she cares about the guy. He’s one of her favorites! We’ve already seen that much. In her view, the longer that he holds onto hope that this relationship could happen, the more that he’s hurting herself. She may be right based on the current state of things — Riley hasn’t been in a position to see her relationship with Bozer as anything other than playful. That’s why she doesn’t see herself as doing anything to hurt his feelings.
Personally, we’ll probably continue to ‘ship the two together just because they bring so much humor and personality to the show. Given that there’s already a season 2 renewal in the books, there’s no hurry to make it happen. Maybe this is just one of those situations where it may take Riley a while to realize that she has actual feelings for Bozer … provided it ever happens. We know that he’s fiercely loyal, he’s got a good sense of humor, and he can cook! Those are three good attributes and there are probably a whole lot more.
Let’s just hope for some more fun down the road for these two … even though there may not be a lot of time left this season with there only being three episodes to go.
