Big Brother Canada 5 spoilers: How Reverse Week will work

Reverse

This week, Big Brother Canada 5 is doing things a little bit differently — and it certainly has some clear advantages and disadvantages.

Specifically, what we’ve come to realize so far is that this twist is a huge detriment to some of the people on the outside of the dominant alliance — think along the lines of Gary, Karen, William, and Dre before anyone else. The house will choose the two nominations, and those two will find themselves in serious danger. In the end, on Monday’s show you’ll get a chance to see the Power of Veto Competition take part, where the winner will get a chance to influence what comes next.

Unfortunately, the problem here for the minority alliance is that even if one of them wins the Veto and removes another person from the block, the house can vote for someone else to go up in their place.

This is where things get a little interesting — the Head of Household Competition will take place after the Veto Ceremony, and everyone other than the nominees and the outgoing HoH will compete. This person will cast the sole vote for the event.

Ultimately, we do like the twist for the game in theory, but the problem is that it doesn’t work so well on a season with such a clear divide. Unless there’s a shakeup, it becomes really easy for one of those aforementioned people to go home. All of them are targets to the likes of Neda, Bruno, Kevin, Ika, Sindy, and Demetres, and with the current layout of the house, they are the ones with the opportunity to run the show.

We’d like to see something change this week just from the vantage point of excitement. Even with that, though, we’ll give the show some credit for being a little more unpredictable than we expected going into it. The newbies now outnumber the vets this week, and with Gary in danger moving into the next episode, there could be an opportunity to see the number of vets shrink even further.

Tomorrow, we’ll get a chance to speak with Cassandra about everything that happened leading up to her eviction from the game. If you do want to read some more news about what happened tonight, be sure to head over to the link here.
