Big Little Lies episode 6 spoilers: Is ‘Burning Love’ extinguished?
One way or another, you better believe that this is going to be a pretty darn important episode of the show. That’s especially true for Madeline, given the state of several of her different relationships, including her marriage to Ed.
Big Little Lies episode 6 synopsis – “Madeline (Reese Witherspoon) worries about the can of worms she’s opened for Jane (Shailene Woodley). Jane confronts Renata (Laura Dern). Bonnie (Zoe Kravitz) tells Nathan (James Tupper) about a secret project Abigail (Kathryn Newton) has been working on. Meanwhile, Ed (Adam Scott) and Madeline have a frank conversation about the lack of passion in their marriage.”
The further this season goes along, the more passionate we imagine in some ways the season will become — it’s ironic to use this word so frequently while the synopsis specifically mentions a lack of said passionate, but we do think there is a correlation here that is difficult to ignore when you think about it.
Promo – There is a part of this that is rather funny courtesy of Madeline’s speech at the table. If only it ended there for people, right? Well, things are going to get intense when Jane goes after Renata, specifically because of something that she may have done to get her daughter suspended. Things could turn physical within the blink of an eye.
For Celeste, meanwhile, the question is simple: What is it going to take for her to leave? The subtlety of scenes is fantastic, as is the performance of Nicole Kidman in the part. We’re nervous to see what comes next for her over the coming episodes, but figure it could make for compelling content.
