Homeland season 6 episode 9 sneak peek: Dar Adal meets with Keane
In this sneak peek, you get a chance to see F. Murray Abraham’s character engaging in a conversation with Keane about some of the latest issues regarding Iran. He concedes to her that he probably got off on the wrong foot, and he is interested and invested in trying to make the situation right. Whether or not he remains equally interested in such an idea remains to be seen. He’s playing all sides, but the side that really matters most to him is his own, and furthering his own agenda and self-interest.
You cannot be surprised that eventually Keane brings up the Iran nuclear deal, which she feels like the country is directly in violation of these days. It’s rather interesting that the show does spend so much time talking about a political crisis that exists in almost every different political show under the sun these days, and yet at the same time we don’t find it dull by any means. We remain just as interested / invested as ever in seeing some sort of twists the story gives us. Maybe a big chunk of that is due to the writing, or the way that the show tries to make things compelling without making them exploitative or over the top. These are how we imagine some of these situations playing out.
Saul is going to be heading to Langley to contribute in any way that he can. Best of luck to him — that place can certainly be a lion’s den, but we’ve certainly seen him go through worse this season.
