Homeland season 6, episode 7 preview: The brownstone aftermath
This, in turn, brings us to the sneak peek below, where Carrie is working with Max in order to secure her place to the best of her ability. One of the ideas the show is exploring this season is rather abstract: Outrage, and the ways it can be manifested. The media is a major spark plug for that; the same goes with politicians. If anyone starts to set some mines in front of Carrie’s place, these could turn into alarms. In turn, these alarms could go off and cause significant problems for everyone. This brings us to where we are today.
Right when Carrie thinks that she is starting to figure things out further here, a call from her daughter’s school changes that. Apparently, someone from Child Protective Services is at the premises to speak with Franny about what happened and assess how she is doing in the aftermath of it. Carrie, in turn, is going to need to figure out the best way to care for her daughter while also proving that she’s fit to do so. With her history, you can certainly make arguments … even if CPS doesn’t know all of that. What they know is that this is a young girl who was subjected to a very nasty incident, and her safety is paramount. Of course, you also have to wonder if there are politics behind the meetup in the first place.
This episode tomorrow will air at its normal time, which should help to reestablish a little bit of momentum for the show after we went through a situation in which Homeland was put online early because of the Academy Awards.
