‘Victoria’ episode 3 preview: The early impressions of Albert
“So everyone who wants to send a letter will have to lick my face.”
Ladies and gentlemen, introducing one of the best lines in the history of “Victoria.” That is one lovely little zinger you can expect on Sunday night’s new episode, which is going to chart the early days of Victoria and her future husband. The quote we specifically mention comes from a moment in the episode where she goes on a little rant after learning that every stamp in the area is going to bear her face. This is something that Albert challenges her on in terms of her attitude, and it sets the stage for what could very well end up being their relationship as they press forward.
The video below offers up a few more specifics in terms of emotional standing. Victoria feels as though the two are not a good match, and thinks that he does not have any manners at all. Yet, those around them see the two as a wonderful match, and implore her to do her best to give him a little bit more of a chance. She does seem to find him attractive, but that only goes so far.
One of the other questions that you have to wonder is this: Will Albert love her for her, or does he view the situation more as an opportunity to be with someone highly considered to be the most eligible person in the world. To think of it using the most ridiculous analogy possible, it’s like the contestants on “The Bachelor,” as you wonder whether or not they’re around “for the right reasons.” The difference here is that we’re talking about something on a far more elevated scale. You’re not just getting a level of fame being with Victoria; you have a sense of duty and responsibility that is unparalleled.
