‘Arrow’ season 5, episode 10 photos: Felicity joins Oliver in Prometheus showdown

The fifth season of “Arrow” will be returning to The CW on January 25, and for the sake of this article, we’re looking forward at the aftermath of one of the show’s biggest confrontations to date: Oliver Queen versus Prometheus. If he ever had a reason to take a bad guy down, he has it here. This is the character responsible for putting Diggle behind bars again (not that he knows that yet), for killing Felicity’s boyfriend by putting him in Oliver’s path, and also in being there to give Evelyn Sharp an avenue to turn to when she realized that Oliver was not the hero that she thought he was.

The photos that we’ve got in this article are for the upcoming episode, and they certainly make it clear that the battle is far from over — and that this time, Oliver’s not going to be alone. Felicity is joining him seemingly in the field for the showdown with Prometheus, which is certainly a little bit different than usual — and also a little risky.

Prometheus has said that he doesn’t want to kill Oliver; instead, his goal is to make him as miserable as possible. Therefore, isn’t taking the life of Felicity one way to do that? Obviously he’s aware of their romantic history if he knows that Oliver is under that hood, so why hesitate?

Given what we’ve heard about the Felicity storyline moving forward this season — in particular the news that she is going down a dark path in the wake of losing Billy Malone — it does make a little more sense that she would be out there in the field willing to assist in any way possible. We also doubt that she’s going to die. Still, this is a rather enormous risk for her to take.
