‘Poldark,’ ‘Victoria,’ ‘The Great British Bake Off’ up for National Television Awards
This month here in America, we’ve got a massive awards show coming in the People’s Choice Awards where the winners are all determined by the fans. It’s an exciting event, and a chance to really unify behind some of your favorite shows and actors.
Meanwhile, in the United Kingdom we’ve got something a little bit different in the National TV Awards. This ceremony is going to recognize some of the best in what the medium has to offer overseas, and there are many fantastic nominees, whether it be “Poldark,” “Victoria,” “Call the Midwife,” “The Great British Bake Off,” and many other series. The ceremony is going to be held on January 25, and will be hosted by none other than Dermot O’Leary of “The X Factor” fame.

As you can see, there are some American shows that have managed to make the cut here and there. It’s a little odd for O’Leary to not be nominated given that he’s hosting the show, but we suppose the nominees are what they are. Also, we desperately what to see David Walliams win, mostly because he is our favorite judge out there and we would watch him read a phone book.
What do you think about some of these nominees? Be sure to share below!
