‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2017′: Fifth Harmony performs ‘That’s My Girl,’ ‘Work From Home,’ ‘Worth It’ with Camila Cabello
Earlier today, the news first came out that Fifth Harmony’s performance on “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” this year was going to be a little bit awkward. How so? Well, this performance was first filmed in November, and it still featured Camila Cabello as a part of the group.
So what was on the show’s set list tonight? We had a chance to see “That’s My Girl,” “Work From Home,” and “Worth It” — three of their most-popular songs of the past twelve years. To go along with that, they were joined by some special guests Ty Dolla $ign and Kid Ink — that just gives them a little bit more credibility on the night given that they were also on the tracks themselves. We would say that the performances were fun, and very much in the spirit of the group. Did you really expect it to be anything different? These ladies are professionals, so we of course knew that they were going to go out and do something that did them justice.
Here’s the bad news: Unfortunately, we don’t have an official video of the performance to share. However, the tweet below from the show’s official account down make it at the very least clear of what the look was for the evening.
As for what 2017 is going to look like for the group, at the moment that is not necessarily clear. The only thing that we can say for certain is that the group seems to be pressing on with its remaining four members, the name will be the same, and hopefully they’ll get some other music out there sooner rather than later.
What did you think about Fifth Harmony’s performance, and do you think this was a great final performance for the five together (if this does turn out to actually be the end)? Be sure to share some of your thoughts now in the comments! (Photo: ABC.)
