A ‘Wahlburgers’ shoe? ‘Rambo’ trilogy, TV fans ready for Rousey versus Nunes?
Hopefully you are enjoying the last few days of 2016. It’s Wednesday and that leaves only three days to finish all the 2016 resolutions for the year. If you’re just getting started, like I am, there is a definite need to rush. I’ve finished watching the original “Star Trek” series last night (probably should have done that in June) and now starting the “Dexter” series. Unsure if I can squeeze in all the episodes before 2017! If not, you know what will be on the 2017 New Year’s resolution list!
‘Rambo’ marathon BBC America
Fans of “Rambo” should get off work early. The popular movie series will be playing on BBC America tonight with the first three movies of the series aired back to back. Sylvester Stallone’s iconic character is as inspiring today as it was when the movies first came out in 1982. The marathon includes “Rambo: First Blood,” “Rambo: First Blood Part II” and “Rambo III.”
‘Wahlburgers’ footwear? Nothing is impossible for this successful family
“Wahlburgers” is one of the best reality shows on TV. Yes, you get to see Donnie, Paul and Mark Wahlberg in action, but more importantly you get to see what supporting family is all about. The family business of burgers is amazing and so is this reality show. I’ve never tasted a Wahlburger before, but I can tell you I’ve watched every episode as it’s the best reality show on air. This week the cameras tag along to the headquarters of Nike in hopes to develop a Wahlburgers shoe!
Are you watching Rousey vs Nunes on Friday night?
Along with a big New Year’s Eve celebration, there is also another big event this weekend. On Friday night Ronda Rousey will be fighting bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes. There hasn’t been much heard from the two fighters during UFC 207 fight week, but this isn’t the type of event you wait until the last minute to plan for. Make sure secure a place where the fight will air – check the local bars or hotels and order the match for your TV. Who will win? On Friday night we will find out.
And finally….Why is ‘The Voice’ so popular in North Dakota?
There’s a very interesting article in the New York Times comparing different shows and the popularity they have around the country. Pulling the 50 most-liked shows, they dissected where the fans were clustered by using zip codes and put together some interesting data based on Facebook likes. As the show’s fans are all over the country, one nugget of info from this article is “The Voice” is the most popular in North Dakota and least liked in New York. I’m perplexed on this data and wonder just how this is possible. (Photo: A&E.)
