‘Game Changers with Robin Roberts’ airs tonight with LeBron James, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ashley Graham, and more
If you are looking for an interesting (and hopefully more optimistic) way to wrap up 2016, Wednesday night may be providing that opportunity courtesy of the “Game Changers with Robin Roberts” special that is coming up. Over the course of this hour, you are going to see the veteran ABC host and journalist traveling the country in order to speak with people who she considers to be some of the most important movers and shakers when it comes to American society. Think of this as Barbara Walters’ Most Fascinating People but with a twist and tone that is distinctly Roberts’ won.
You can see a preview for it below; here are five of the people we know for certain will be featured in the special.
Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha – One of the people responsible for identifying the water crisis in Flint, Michigan, and someone who continues to this day to fight for some of the disadvantaged people in the area who are struggling to handle some of what is going on around them.
LeBron James – One of the most famous athletes on the planet, but someone who is also working to use his fame to help other people, both in his home state of Ohio and beyond.
Lin-Manuel Miranda – The “Hamilton” writer and performer has long been a game-changer on the stage, but he is now one of the most powerful people in entertainment. He’s also someone who campaigns heavily for Puerto Rico to get the support that it deserves.
Ashley Graham – She’s a model, a judge on “America’s Next Top Model,” and someone who fights against conventions and encourages women to be the best version of themselves.
Chance the Rapper – A fully independent artist who revolutionized the way that music is released and has a brand and a style that is very different from anyone else.
Michael Phelps – The most successful Olympian ever, and a man who now seems to be enjoying his retirement after coming out of it to compete in Rio and add some additional medals to his total.
There is also going to be a mystery game-changer revealed in the special, so there’s an extra something to look forward to seeing if you watch it live. “Girl Meets World” star Rowan Blanchard has also made it clear that she is involved with the special in some capacity. (Photo: ABC.)
