‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 10 will return with flashbacks
Thursday night’s episode of “The Big Bang Theory” ended with a moment that was almost the entire year in the making in the birth of Halley Wolowitz, and unfortunately, you’re going to be waiting for a little while now to see precisely what is coming up next. The show won’t be back until January, but when it does return, this show offer up an opportunity to learn a little bit more about what some of the characters have been up to in the interim.
Speaking per Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Steve Molaro had the following to say about precisely what is coming up, and how the flashbacks are going to work:
“In [the first episode back there] will be Howard and Bernadette’s first week or two with the baby and Bernadette’s adjustment to trying to be a new mom … There’s a good dose, really actually a very touching dose, of Bernadette and Wolowitz in their first week or two with the baby.”
Ultimately, the presence of this child is not going to heavily alter too much of the story moving forward in terms of how the show will work, or other things that the characters will have going on in their lives. It was already reported yesterday that you will never see Halley onscreen, and the show is planning to use the child much in the same way in which they used Howard’s mother (voiced by Carol Ann Susi) over the course of her life on the show.
Based on everything we’ve heard Molaro say over the past couple of days, if you already love the show the way in which it is, odds are that you will continue to feel positively towards it. The baby is something else that Howard and Bernadette have going on, but it won’t be every single facet of their everyday lives.
