‘Bull’ episode 9 preview: See Michael Weatherly in two new ‘Light My Fire’ sneak peeks
The final episode of “Bull” before the hiatus is coming onto CBS Tuesday night, and judging from the sneak peeks below, this one could be particularly challenging for Michael Weatherly’s title character. Not only is Bull going to be returning to his childhood home in New Hampshire, but he also has to convince a whole community that a young man is not the person they’ve made him up to be in their heads.
Before we get to that case in particular, let’s start off by visiting said hometown, shall we? It’s apparently so quaint that the comparisons to a “Norman Rockwell painting” are thrown out there in a split-second — it’s the sort of place that anyone would want to grow up in on the surface.
yet, at the same time, haven’t you seen “Twin Peaks”? Not all places that look nice and idyllic on the surface are perfect, and there are dark underbellies that can be exposed. Maybe this episode isn’t going to be that dramatic when it comes exposing the darker side of a place, but it does look as though there will be quite a bit of drama / secrets revealed nonetheless.

The second sneak peek focuses more on the defendant himself as Bull discusses how this young man finds himself repeatedly accused of crimes by other people in the town — maybe it’s due to family history, or maybe it is the way that he looks; either way, there is judgment almost all around him, and this is something that he will likely have to contend with even if Bull gets him off on what appears to be an arson case. This won’t be an easy challenge, but hopefully, it’s one he’ll figure out. We feel pretty darn good about his win / loss record right now, but maybe that is the show’s way of luring us into a false sense of security before they reveal a little later on that this is the one that truly goes south.
