‘Lethal Weapon’ episode 9 preview: One terrifying Christmas

Lethal Weapon -

While “Lethal Weapon” is a show that does often like to balance out some of its action and humor with drama, next week’s new episode “Jingle Bell Glock” does appear as though it’s going to be one of the most emotional ones of the entire series to date. It’s going to be the holiday season, but unfortunately, innocent lives could be in danger because of people with a grudge.

With all of this being said, it does appear that there’s going to be a little bit of comedy sprinkled in over the course of the episode, as well, in a way that reminds us of some of those ridiculous Christmas-lights shows that air this time of year.

Synopsis – “The whole precinct’s holiday celebrations are cut short when they’re called to examine a ruthless homicide linked to Eddie Flores (guest star Raul Casso), the deranged nephew of a notable drug lord who has a previous history with Riggs. The holiday season weighs heavily on Riggs, who flashes back to past Christmases with his former wife, Miranda. Murtaugh is also a little preoccupied with his neighbor’s obnoxious holiday decorations.”

Promo – Based on this, what we’re going to be seeing here is a potential hostage situation, and one where several members of the team are going to be coming together with one common goal. Is this going to be the last episode of the year? We have to think that this is a possibility, mostly because this episode is about Christmas, and if there was another story to tell not involved the holiday, you would think that the show would try to get that out of the way first, unless of course there’s a story coming up about New Year’s Day or something along those lines.
