‘The Bachelor’ stars Ben Higgins, Lauren Bushnell celebrate one year of being engaged
Mrs. Carter: Consider this a “Bachelor” success story!
Earlier this week, recent show star Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell — who also now star in a Freeform reality series entitled “Ben and Lauren: Happy Ever After?” — had a chance to celebrate what is a very huge milestone in their life as an engaged couple. While we know that there are a lot of people out there who tend to judge relationships from the show on whether or not they end up walking down the aisle, we do personally feel as though making it this far, which is longer than many other show couples last, is a pretty tremendous achievement.
In the post on Instagram below, you can see some of what Ben has to say about the engagement to go along with a charity t-shirt campaign he’s working on — here’s a small snippet:
“One year ago today I proposed to @laurenbushnell and even with the normal relational speed bumps our relationship has continued to mold us both into better partners and better people. I am lucky to have her.”
The timing of this post is also significant, given that it could potentially quiet down some of the talk and tabloid rumors of relationship trouble, which seem to always come out for “Bachelor” couples on a sporadic basis. There is no clear wedding date as of yet, but that doesn’t have to mean that any problems are keeping it from happening.
The new season of “The Bachelor,” which will star Nick Viall as the leading man, is going to premiere in January on ABC. Be sure to head over here if you want to get a little bit more news regarding that right now! (Photo: ABC.)
