‘Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X’ episode 9 video: Taylor’s (still) out for revenge
Here’s some food for thought: Was there ever someone unintentionally working on “Survivor” to get themselves voted off as much as Taylor is at the moment? Let’s try to count many of the things he’s doing wrong at present.
1. Stealing food – Obviously, this is the worst. Nobody’s going to respect you for this, since it’s such a blatant move of disrespect. Even if you are a good player strategically, it’d still be hard to see someone who does this getting votes in the end.
2. Tunnel vision – As the promo below, complete with odd British accent and structure, points out, Taylor wants nothing more still than getting Adam out of the game. Taylor, we get it — Adam’s responsible for Figgy going home. Yet, this is someone you’ve known for a few weeks! The fact that they’re not even close to being together now is further proof of how reckless this thought-process is to completely focus in on a single person.
3. No attempts to form new bonds – We’ve yet to see Taylor try to bond with anyone from the Gen X tribe. Instead, he seems fine to just bro down with his boy Jay.
4. No filter – Maybe at times this lets him get away with stuff like stealing food, but other times it shoots him in the foot since he can’t keep a secret and even when he has a good idea, he can’t execute it.
5. An obvious target – He’s a young guy in good shape, and he’s not downplaying that at all.
With all of these different things in mind, it’s hard to envision many scenarios where these players want to keep him around. Sure, he’s a great jury goat, but we don’t think you think too much about that at final 12. Maybe if he’s still there at final 7 it starts to become a little more apparent.
