‘Teen Wolf’ season 6 spoilers: What lies ahead for Malia?

The sixth season of “Teen Wolf” is going to be coming up on MTV starting on Tuesday, and of course there are many questions that are worthy of being asked in advance.

For example, what is going to be coming up with Malia? We’ve heard time and time again that Stiles is going to be front and center for one of the main stories of season 6, even if he is not appearing onscreen for much of it. Instead, he will be taken away by the Ghost Riders a.k.a. the Big Bads of the season, and that will cause much of his memory to fade away in the eyes of some of the other characters on the show.

So how is Malia going to react to seeing this happen? Well, it’s rather complicated thanks to one key twist in the story this season — Malia’s not going to have much of an idea that she exists. According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Malia won’t be aware of what happened to Stiles for the aforementioned reason, so for at least the early going this coming season, her life will go on. Specifically, this could even include her having a different love interest — and that’s all that we can say for the time being.

The biggest mystery that we have beyond hearing about things like this is precisely when Stiles will be coming back around. We know that Dylan O’Brien won’t be around for the entirety of this season; however, we gotta think that he’ll be back before the endgame, so the question there is precisely how long — and what his romantic future is at that point. As of right now, we’re far more willing to say that his future is with Lydia than with Malia based on what we’ve seen to date and what we’re hearing about the future.
