‘Poldark’ season 3 video: Watch Aidan Turner, Eleanor Tomlinson in first teaser!

While the finale for “Poldark” season 2 just aired on BBC One, this is not stopping the network from giving you the smallest of teases of what’s to come in season 3!

In the video below, you can see the first teaser promo from the third season featuring Aidan Turner (Ross), Eleanor Tomlinson (Demelza), Heida Reed (Elizabeth), and a variety of other familiar faces. This is a remarkably early promo given that this season is not expected until many months into 2017, but we presume that the network and producers must have felt as though it was worthwhile to go ahead and put this out there for everyone to see now. It gives you a sense of some of what is coming, and how life for the Poldark family is clearly not going to be pleasant or a bed of roses.

As for our own concerns, obviously we’re not entirely sure if Ross and Demelza’s relationship can ever be fully repaired after what we saw unfold for them during most of the second season. We do think that there is a lot of love there and a desire for things to get better, but unfortunately there are so many times in which this love on its own is not enough to turn the tide and make things better when there is such a harsh betrayal.

Of course, another major question revolves around the state of Elizabeth’s present pregnancy, given that she is expecting a child with an unknown father. If this child is in fact Ross’ — though we’re not sure how he would know this — that could open up all sorts of wounds and cause a wide array of chaos.
