TV Quick Hits: ‘Billions’ season 2, ‘iZombie’ season 3, ‘Wet Hot American Summer’ casting news
For today’s edition of TV Quick Hits, we are saying almost anything and everything when it comes to casting news! There are many shows who are upping their roster with some interesting additions, and it’s our goal to further profile that now.
“Billions” season 2 – Let’s start things off with the Showtime drama, which will be returning at some point in the new year. Per a report from Deadline, “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” actor Eric Bogosian is going to be playing the part of Lawrence Boyd, a man responsible for running the investment bank Spartan-Ives. This is a show all about the corruption and complications in this world, so we imagine this character is involved in that somehow.
“iZombie” season 3 – Meanwhile, this same report claims that Andrew Caldwell of “Transformers” fame will be playing the part of Harley Jones, someone described as a “good old boy” who has an affinity for wanting to kill zombies. This isn’t great news for many of the other characters, but we have a feeling that he could end up being quite a hoot to watch over however long he sticks around.
“Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later” – Finally, a different report from Deadline made it clear that Jai Courtney will be one of the most-notable additions to the Netflix comedy when the series returns with an ambitious new batch of episodes. He’ll be playing an indie-movie darling close to superstardom who has a romantic relationship with Amy Poehler’s Susie. For some reason, both of these characters are making the decision to head to Camp Firewood for this reunion, which we’re sure will turn out to be rather chaotic.
Hopefully, you will be able to see more of this edition in the “Wet Hot American Summer” world come 2017. Most cast members from the first time around will return. (Photo: Showtime.)
