‘Poldark’ season 2, episode 9 preview: Teases on Ross, Elizabeth, Demelza
Now that we are mere hours away from the next new episode of “Poldark” airing on BBC One, we’re very much thrilled to be here offering up a few more assorted teases on what you can expect. In the aftermath of what happened with Ross and Elizabeth at the end of this past one, it feels fair to call this the most important one of the entire series to date. Relationships will be tested, and shaken up in a rather enormous way.
There are minor spoilers ahead, but at the same time nothing too major. This information is derived from plot information sent out previously by The BBC.
1. In the wake of Ross’ dalliance with Elizabeth, Demelza refuses to speak with him, and is concerned that he is about to leave both her and Jeremy behind.
2. Elizabeth will write to George asking to postpone a wedding date — meanwhile, George is going to take matters into his own hands to try and ensure that the ceremony still happens.
3. Ross is going to have a new business opportunity separate to the mine, which is probably a good thing given how this venture proved itself to be horrible and then some for him.
4. Demelza will find herself in a compromising position when it comes to Sir Hugh Bodrugan’s ball, and an invitation that she receives courtesy of Captain McNeil.
5. Finally, Ross will make a discovery at a mine that may finally clear him of some of his financial hardships — yet, is it really going to be worth it at this point? What’s the point of having some of that financial success if you don’t have anyone to share it with?
There is only one episode of “Poldark” season 2 airing after this one, and rest assured we’ll be sharing all sorts of coverage about it after tonight’s episode.
