NBC’s ‘The Voice’ video: Prepare for the blind auditions’ end

The Voice -

This week, “The Voice” has more Blind Auditions to show you, but with that comes the bad news: We’re at the end of the road for them. This week will give you the final auditions of this season, and then we’re moving over to the Battle Rounds.

If you look below, you can see the quickest of glimpses into some of these final auditions. Unfortunately NBC is not giving a whole lot away in here, and they’ve yet to release a sneak peek focusing on a single contestant. The only real takeaway that we have is that Miley Cyrus is going to be fighting further with some of the other coaches, and that Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will of course continue to do their thing. Alicia Keys as a coach is very laid-back in a way, but she does have a quiet intensity that makes her appealing. She’s willing to let the others squabble, knowing that she can come in and make her argument in time.

We’ve got to be honest: We wish that we could just rush through the middle rounds and get to the live shows, and have more of those and less of the nonsense in between. Those rounds just drag like nobody’s business, but we understand why the competition is structured in this way. After all, the Battle and Knockout Rounds are fairly easy to shoot, and it makes things easier for the coaches in terms of their schedules.
