‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6 promo offers look at Aladdin, Jasmine

Given that the Emmys are airing tonight on ABC, one of the exciting things that comes along with that is that itmarks an opportunity to see some promos for various network shows — and that includes the one below for the upcoming sixth season of “Once Upon a Time.”

While this promo may not give you a whole lot of information regarding what the story for the season will be, it does a particularly good job of hyping up two of its most-notable guest stars in Aladdin and Princess Jasmine.

Over the past several years, the show has done a particularly good job when it comes to giving you a few iconic Disney characters for an arc of several episodes. Back in season 4, it was the various main characters from “Frozen,” and then following that they had on board Merida for the start of season 5. Getting these two on felt like a natural evolution, and it is something that has been fairly expected for a rather long time.

Also, we’re particularly thrilled with the casting of “Galavant” star Karen David as Jasmine, given that it is so great to see her back on ABC so soon — plus, we already know she can sing in case the show wants to throw some sort of “A Whole New World” performance in there (unlikely, but still).

This new season will be starting before long, and in addition to getting to see these characters and Jafar, Emma Swan will have her hands full trying to tackle a variety of newcomers arriving in Storybrooke via the Land of Untold Stories.
