‘Game of Thrones’ season 7: Emilia Clarke on series eventually ending

The seventh season is coming up for “Game of Thrones” early next year, and as excited as we may be, we’re also a little bit sad thanks to the fact that we know that it is the penultimate season of the show. There are only seven episodes this coming season, and the eighth one beyond that is only going to be six. It’s a short thirteen episodes to go until the finale, but you better believe that it is going to be epic!

If you want to get a sense of how some of the cast is feeling right now, Emilia Clarke told E!’s Giuliana Rancic at the Emmys that it could be a hard experience trying to let go of — and it’s with that she is not thinking too much about it right now:

“It will be really intense saying goodbye to the show, but it’s still a ways away having that sink in.”

As of right now, season 7 of the show is being worked on, and with filming starter later than usual in order to accommodate the poor weather, we’re not going to see many of them air until the summer of 2017. As for when season 8 could premiere, summer 2018 seems to be a good guess, but it is probably still a little too early to say one way or another on that. We just hope that as we near the end of the series, we’re gearing up for some epic battles as the White Walkers head south, and some of the other characters (including Clarke’s Daenerys) start to
