‘America’s Got Talent’ winner Grace VanderWaal receives messages from Taylor Swift, Katy Perry
In the posts below from Twitter, you can see a number of very notable things.
1. Grace has the support of Katy Perry, someone she considers to be one of her musical idols. She’s said throughout the competition that she is one of her favorite artists.
2. She also has the support of Taylor Swift, who Simon Cowell compared her to early in the season after she auditioned with an original song.
3. Finally, she has the support of Ellen DeGeneres, the sort of daytime TV host who could help her to stay in the public eye in the months ahead.
When you look back at some other past winners for this show that happen to be singers, one of the biggest problems that they face is that it is extremely hard for them to stay relevant for a lengthy period of time after the show. One of the biggest reasons for that is because they are easily forgotten about by most television programs and they don’t have a lot of high-profile support. Now that Grace seems to have both of these things going for her, we’re starting to feel extremely optimistic in her long-term success. She just now needs to concentrate, hit the studio, and then prepare for whatever her future could be. The one thing we do know is that it is probably bright.
