‘Scream Queens’ season 2 spoilers: Lea Michele hints at Hester’s shifting allegiances

Could we see a different side of Hester on “Scream Queens” moving into the second season? That’s certainly possible, at least based on some of the information that we’re getting now.

Specifically, the killer (who was not arrested) is going to be back in some capacity moving forward, and based on what Lea Michele said to TV Guide, one of the things that you could see from her is actually a strong reversal in how she goes about doing things:

“As the murders start to happen, everyone is obviously thinking that it’s Hester again … She’s quite adamant that she is not the killer this season, but that she will try and help them figure out who the killer is.”

Would we be fine if there is another killer? Absolutely, but at the same time there would be something rather weird and also entertaining about what would happen in the event that it was Hester again and the entire season was a big game of misdirection.

Ultimately, we’ll have to see what happens, but we personally don’t quite think that this is a show where the killer reveal doesn’t matter much. Instead, we’d say that the focus of it really matters more through the lens of what we end up seeing with the character stories, or the crazy kills, or even the funny moments. Nothing matters as much as the journey; if you focus too much on the end with a show like this, there’s a good chance that the final result is not going to be anywhere near as fulfilling.
