‘American Horror Story’ season 6 teaser: Children of the corn

The September 14 premiere date for “American Horror Story” is quickly approaching, but even still the folks over at FX are still finding new ways to torment us with various previews left and right.

With that, we now present to you the latest one below, which may as well be the weirdest sort of homage to “Children of the Corn” ever. Okay, it may not really be much of an homage at all, but it’s a little bit more entertaining to refer to it that way. We’re not quite sure what the kinds in the cornfield are looking at (an alien mothership in the sky?), but one part of this that is interesting is that one of the prevailing theories that is out there about this season is that we could be seeing some sort of orphanage take center stage. After all, there may be some clues in these teasers, even if the majority of them are most likely misdirects designed to keep everyone confused / perplexed for as long as possible.

Ultimately, we could be waiting until the premiere to actually learn some news about the theme of the season, and maybe around that time we’ll also learn the cast. For now, we at least know that Sarah Paulson and Cheyenne Jackson are returning, and will play a significant role in the cast. Lady Gaga has also said that she will continue to be a part in some shape or form.
