‘Game of Thrones’ season 7: Maisie Williams reads scripts, is immediately hyped
Today, Maisie Williams got an opportunity to do something that very few people have to date, and that is read the entire seventh season of “Game of Thrones.” Only a few select cast members have this opportunity beyond some need-to-know people behind the scenes, and suffice it to say, she’s excited about what she’s seen.
You can see what is basically a stream of tweets from her below, and while there are basically zero spoilers in here, there are plenty of reasons to be excited. We know based on where the story left off, with Williams’ Arya Stark killing Walder Frey and with Daenerys heading to Westeros with Tyrion in tow, that we were set up with awesome things to come. We’ll just consider this as further proof.
To us, one of the things that is most endearing about moments like these is that it is another reminder that the show’s own cast do sometimes care about the story if not more so than some of the people watching. They don’t just view as a job, and you really get that from Williams especially. It certainly helps that she plays a fan-favorite character who’s had a great opportunity to do a lot of awesome things, and we can only hope that this is going to keep happening as we get closer and closer to the end of the series. After all, there are only two more left…
The seventh season of “Game of Thrones” will begin filming later this fall, and should premiere on HBO at some point in the summer.
