‘Chicago Fire’ season 5: Check out the new teaser promo!

While NBC is not necessarily giving out too much in the way of plot spoilers for many of their upcoming fall shows just yet, the presence of the Summer Olympics has enabled them the opportunity to get together a wide array of different promos. This includes “Chicago Fire,” and the new video below is certainly a powerful one.

Sure, this may only be 15 seconds long, but as a whole this clip gives you a really quick reminder of everything that this series is about, whether it be determination, drive, or the sense of family that unifies the team during some tough times. This is a show about celebrating heroes by and large, and we certainly hope that the new season continues to do just that in the midst of everything they’re dealing with on the outside of the firehouse.

Specifically, we assume that season 5 will continue to address the conflict that is present right now between Boden and Jimmy in the wake of what happened to the latter’s brother, and we also anticipate that Dawson and Casey are going to try and acclimate to their own new life, one that includes having Louie around. There’s also going to be a cross-show romance coming between Brett and Antonio from “Chicago PD,” and we imagine that a few other stories will start to make themselves clear over time. It’s hard to project too much what is coming up down the road when we’re writing this article in the middle of August.

As the promo indicates, the new season will begin on Tuesday, October 11.
