‘Ink Master’ season 8, episode 13 preview: Can the women’s alliance make it to the finale?
We are getting very close to the end of “Ink Master” season 8 and crowing our winner — but we didn’t exactly move the chess pieces forward on the board very much tonight at all.
In favor of a typical elimination episode, what we ended up seeing tonight instead was a recap special featuring many one-on-one interviews and some personal insights from some of the artists. For the most part, what that meant was that we got to know the artists better, but nothing in terms who will be making it to the finale. That’s being saved for the next new episode of the show.
Next week, it appears as though the biggest question on the show is going to be whether or not the women’s alliance is going to continue to hold strong and make it to the next phase of the competition, or if we could end up seeing the men find a way to step it up and get past them. They’ve been a defining part of the season to date, and strategically, they’ve played this very well. Even more than that, though, what they’ve done an amazing job at is doing great work with tattoos. You can do all of the strategizing in the world, but at the same time it doesn’t quite matter if you are not putting in good work.
The preview that aired tonight showed that there would be more drama and a concentrated effort to get at least one of the remaining women in the finale, but it’s a little too early to tell if that is going to happen. All we can hope for is a close fight to the finish, and some interesting drama along the way.
